What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy is an evidence-based, mind-body approach that helps you breathe, move, and feel better - in ways that are meaningful to you.
Through personalized 1:1 sessions, we blend somatic movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and deep rest to support your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Every breath, movement, and pause is offered with therapeutic intention - to soothe the nervous system, ease pain, support digestion, improve sleep, aid circulation, or accelerate recovery during treatment/illness.
Unlike a group yoga class, yoga therapy is not about poses or sequences. Itâs a customized healing process, guided by your needs, your story, and your mind, body, and energy signals. If a yoga class is like a set menu at a restaurant, yoga therapy is more like bespoke nourishment prepared just for you.
Your whole body participates in your wellness.

Yoga therapy is accessible, adaptable, and inclusive. No prior experience is needed. It is especially supportive for those navigating:
- Chronic stress, anxiety, burnoutÂ
- Nervous system dysregulation
- Chronic pain, fatigue, or sleep issues
- Autoimmune conditions or immune imbalance
- Recovery during and after cancer, stroke, or illness
- Grief, emotional overwhelm, or life transitions
In fact, this is what yoga therapy is designed for - to support the whole person, and all of the joys and challenges that come with us.
Whether your body needs rest, resilience, or reconnection, these sessions can meet you where you are. Itâs a space to release, nourish, regulate, and come home to yourself, in a way that complements any medical care or treatment you may already be receiving.

What You Can Expect
This is a safe, pain-free, and trauma-aware space. Together, we co-create a personalized space that honors all of you â your body, your experience, your life context, and your inner wisdom.

Sessions are:
- Gentle, guided, accessible, and collaborative
- Rooted in yogic wisdom and modern science of mind-body healing
- Designed to help you access your own inner resources for wellness, even alongside illness or uncertainty
- Whether youâre here to restore energy, process grief, ease tension, or simply slow down, yoga therapy offers a compassionate space to explore and reconnect â on your own terms.
Session Details
- Duration:Â 60-90 minute sessions
- Format:Â Online via Zoom or in-person in Taipei, Taiwan
- Languages:Â English or Mandarin
- Details:Â
- Participate in 6 sessions, ideally once per week, scheduled over a maximum of 10 weeks to allow for scheduling flexibility
- Must be able to schedule sessions on weekdays between 10am and 4pm Taiwan time. Very limited weekend sessions may be available - please contact to discuss.
- Grant permission for sessions to be documented (leaving out personal identifying information)Â
